Watch 'Brave the Buzz' as St. Bernadette School raises $95,000 for childhood cancer research

The gym at St. Bernadette School in Westlake was a lively place the morning of March 25 as more than a dozen barbers/hair stylists shaved the heads of students and others who helped raise more than $95,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. They far surpassed the $60,000 goal for Brave the Buzz 5. Proceeds will support childhood cancer research. The event was dedicated to Michael Orbany, a St. Bernadette student who battled a brain tumor for several years before his death in 2014 at age 9.
